Revolted Range Privacy Policy

Who we are

Revolted Par-Tee Carts provides Revolted Range, a battery performance and range-testing app. Contact boatbroker@gmail.com or 931-397-4154 for privacy and support. Our address is 1432 Livingston Hwy, Byrdstown, TN 38549. This policy applies only to Revolted Range. Revolted Drive has its own separate privacy policy.

The short version

Revolted Range processes battery readings and test location on your device. We do not operate an account system or a server that receives your battery telemetry, courses or test reports. The app has no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics, Google Maps, cloud report service or automatic report upload. You decide whether to share a report or contact support.

Battery connections and local records

With Bluetooth access, the app discovers nearby devices and reads telemetry from a battery or battery monitor you select. Available readings may include voltage, current, state of charge, capacity, cell voltages and temperatures. The app keeps device identifiers, names, connection profiles and any nicknames you enter to distinguish batteries. Connection diagnostics can include device names, identifiers, protocol information and response data. Range sends telemetry-read requests; it does not change battery protection settings, charging settings or motor controls.

Tests can store timestamps, battery identity, telemetry samples, measured energy and efficiency, GPS-derived speed and distance, terrain estimates, data coverage, interruptions and comparison results. You may enter cart and battery details, driver name, payload, tire pressure, temperature, notes, physical pack identifiers and manual discharger results. Enter only information you need for your test. Reports may include these fields.

Location and optional GPS hardware

With While Using location permission, Range uses location to learn a test loop, detect laps and calculate speed, distance, efficiency and terrain estimates. Learned course coordinates are retained in local setup and report data. PDF and CSV report exports omit the learned coordinate list but can include course names, test dates, speed, distance and elevation. The underlying local JSON files can contain course coordinates.

A compatible Dual external GPS receiver is optional. When selected and available, receiver data is processed locally. Automatic mode can use the phone’s location source; Require external GPS intentionally prevents phone fallback. Range does not upload location to Revolted Par-Tee Carts or a mapping service. Recording pauses and location updates stop when the app enters the background.

Victron readout keys

If you use a supported Victron monitor, you may enter its Instant Readout key to decode local Bluetooth advertisements. Range stores that key in this device’s iOS Keychain with access while the device is unlocked. The key is not included in report exports or automatically sent to us. Keychain items can survive app deletion. Remove Range’s saved keys using Setup > Privacy & Support > Forget saved Victron keys.

Apple purchases and device services

Professional is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple. Range uses StoreKit on your device to load the current price, verify purchase entitlement and restore access. We do not receive your payment card details, and Range does not send purchase receipts to a Revolted server. Apple processes purchases and related account information under its own privacy policy. Apple may provide developers with sales reports or platform diagnostics according to Apple’s services and your settings; this is separate from an automatic Range telemetry upload.

Your local app data may be included in device backups according to your Apple settings. Range does not provide its own cloud sync. Files you export to iCloud Drive, another storage provider, email or another app are handled by the destination you choose.

Sharing and support

PDFs, CSVs, screening summaries and connection diagnostics leave the app only when you choose a share destination or otherwise copy or export the files. Review a file before sharing: it may identify a battery, cart, driver, test location or customer through information you entered. Recipients and services you select may retain their own copies under their policies.

If you email or call us, we receive the contact information, message and attachments you provide. We use that information to respond, investigate issues and maintain support records. Support correspondence is retained while needed for the request or applicable recordkeeping obligations. Ask for deletion by emailing boatbroker@gmail.com; do not send sensitive information that is unnecessary to your request. We do not sell support correspondence or use it for targeted advertising.

Retention and deletion

Saved tests and manual discharger records remain on the device until you delete them or remove the app. Delete a test from Tests; delete a manual discharger result from Lead Acid > FSIP. Saved settings, profiles and learned courses remain until changed or the app is deleted. Removing the app removes its app-container data; offloading an app may retain that data. Remove Victron keys using the in-app control described above.

Deleting a record cannot remove copies already shared, saved to another service or held in a device backup. Manage those copies separately. We cannot remotely retrieve or erase the local test data on your device. Interrupted-test recovery files are stored locally so a test can be recovered and saved after an interruption.

Your choices

Change Bluetooth and location permissions in iOS Settings at any time. Without the required permission or compatible hardware, live measurements and real road tests may be unavailable. Demo mode, the simulated sample report, privacy information and existing saved reports remain available. Demo data is labeled and excluded from real battery comparisons. The app does not request camera, microphone, photo-library, contacts or advertising-tracking access.

Website links, children and changes

Opening an online policy, support link or other website connects to that website. Its host may process ordinary connection information such as your IP address for delivery and security. The dedicated Range privacy and support pages contain no advertising or analytics scripts. Other pages and external services may have different practices.
